Hello guys. It’s been a while since my last video. Why? Because here in China we were celebrating the lunar new year. I hope you guys could come and enjoy it with me. It is definitely the most lovely time of the year. Also, I’d like thank you all for watching my illustration videos and subscribing to my channel. Some of you have even promoted my videos on forums and websites in Europe, Russia, Japan, etc, etc. I might not be very active in replying your comments, but I definitely see how you help to make my videos more and more popular. I love you guys! Okay, back to this video. I promised it to be a Photoshop illustration but I couldn’t manage to record one – I am busy working on an illustration project for a trading card game (Yes, I will show you guys some images after it’s done). I need to use Corel Painter entirely on the project, so the Photoshop illustration video needs to wait. Please understand. The techniques I used in this illustration are similar to my previous videos. But the colors are lighter in this drawing, and I brushed them thinner. Therefore it seems to be of a completely different style from my previous artworks. Since it is 100% original illustration, I made several big changes to the design of the character ;-p At 3:04, I used overlay to adjust colors slightly – a technique that can save you a lot of time (if used correctly).
